Buffett hands over annual letter to shareholders to successor Abel
According to media reports, Warren Buffett will no longer be writing the highly anticipated annual shareholder letter for Berkshire Hathaway that is eagerly awaited by global investors. This important task has now been passed on to his successor, vice chairman Greg Abel. The 95-year-old billionaire still plans to release a Thanksgiving letter to his children and shareholders on November 10th. Buffett plans to step down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway by the end of the year, handing over the company he has led for over sixty years to the 63-year-old vice chairman, but he will still retain the position of chairman. "For us investors, receiving a personal letter from Buffett every year is like opening Christmas presents on Christmas morning," said Christopher Davis of Hudson Value Partners, "Listening to Mr. Abel's speeches on stage and reading the annual letter in the future will be an important evolution in the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder experience."
