Global Star is considering selling options and has begun preliminary negotiations with SpaceX and others.

According to sources, the American satellite communications company Globalstar is currently exploring the possibility of a sale, and has had preliminary discussions with potential buyers including SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk. The company has hired an investment bank to assist in evaluating options, but has not yet made a final decision on whether to sell and may still continue to operate independently. It is worth noting that Apple may play a key role in future decisions regarding Globalstar. The iPhone manufacturer invested approximately $1.5 billion last year to upgrade Globalstar's infrastructure, and holds a 20% stake in the company - the satellite services launched as a result of their collaboration allow Apple users to send messages and contact emergency services in areas without cellular network coverage.
