Chinese Ambassador to the United States: Hope the US side will provide an open, fair, and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese financial institutions to operate in the US.

On October 29th, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the "2025 Financial Street Forum Annual Meeting - New York Parallel Forum". Xie Feng stated that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, China-US financial cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and many companies present are witnesses, supporters, practitioners, and beneficiaries of China-US financial cooperation. With the joint efforts of both sides, American financial companies have achieved several "firsts" in China: J.P. Morgan Securities is the first foreign-owned wholly-owned securities company in China, American Express is the first foreign institution to enter the Chinese bank card clearing market, BlackRock has established the first wholly-owned foreign public fund company in China, and so on. One example after another demonstrates that China's opening up to the United States in the financial field is becoming more and more extensive. It is hoped that the US will also provide an open, fair, and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese financial institutions operating in the US.
