The first national standard for happy rivers and lakes in our country has been officially released.

Recently, the national standard "Guidelines for Evaluation of Happiness River Basins Part 1: Rivers with Watersheds under 3000km2", formulated by the Ministry of Water Resources, has been officially released and approved by the National Standardization Management Committee. It will be fully implemented starting from May 1, 2026. This is the first time that China has issued national standards for the evaluation of happiness rivers and lakes, setting an authoritative "national standard baseline" for the governance and improvement of small and medium-sized river systems and the quality of services for people's livelihoods nationwide.
