Seychelles elected President Ramkalawan sworn in

On October 26th local time, Patrick Herminie, the elected President of Seychelles, was sworn in in the capital Victoria, starting his 5-year term. The Seychelles Electoral Commission announced the results of the presidential election on October 12th, with the United Seychelles Party candidate Herminie winning in the second round of voting and becoming the president. Herminie, aged 62, is a doctor by profession and served as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles from 2007 to 2016.
