On February 23, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan wrote an article on his online column "Treasury Forum" with the title "Hong Kong Green Week: Green X Finance X Technology", mentioning that Hong Kong Green Week will be held from February 26 to March 2, which is one of the major events in Hong Kong this year. He also mentioned that the government plans to unveil a prototype of the Hong Kong Green Finance Technology Map at the conference, which will help businesses and financial institutions understand Hong Kong's green finance technology solutions and their development, enhancing the image and visibility of the industry. Paul Chan stated that Hong Kong Green Week will include a series of themed speeches, seminars, roundtable meetings, and expert discussions organized by different institutions, discussing how to promote the global GREEN ECONOMY to achieve sustainable development, and support the development of green technology and green finance in Hong Kong. He continued by mentioning that the Hong Kong Treasury, together with the Hong Kong financial regulatory authorities, will collaborate with the Hong Kong Trade and Investment Department and Cyberport to hold a seminar on March 1 morning with the theme "Harnessing Technology to Catalyze Sustainable Finance", discussing the application of green finance technology in supporting the development of sustainable capital markets and meeting regulatory requirements to strengthen Hong Kong's position as an international green technology and financial center. The government will invite guests to share the potential and opportunities of using financial technology in the field of green finance, and will arrange for financial institutions to showcase examples of using green finance technology to assist business development and meet regulatory requirements.
