CLOUDBREAK-B(02592): Topline Results of Phase 3 Study of CBT-001 in Patients with Pterygium
CLOUDBREAK-B(02592) announced the topline results of the Phase 3 study of CBT-001 as a potential treatment for pterygium. Both primary endpoints achieved statistical significance. Compared with the placebo control group in terms of conjunctival hyperemia at Month 3 and pterygium lesion length at Month 12, both doses of CBT-001 demonstrated highly statistically significant improvements. These results mark the first time a drug has demonstrated a disease-modifying effect on pterygium through statistically significant improvements in hyperemia and lesion size. Additional analyses are ongoing.
