Cssc Offshore & Marine Engineering (00317) rose more than 3% intraday; as of press time, it was up 1.18% at HK$12.82, with turnover of HK$9.2668 million. On the news front, Cssc Offshore & Marine Engineering recently released its Q3 2026 results. A Shenwan Hongyuan Group research report noted that in Q3 2026, Cssc Offshore & Marine Engineering achieved operating revenue of RMB4.64 billion, up 12% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB317 million, up 146% year-on-year, with investment income (mainly from Guangzhou Shipyard International) of RMB264 million, up 112.1% year-on-year. Q3 2026 net profit attributable to shareholders was within the previously announced profit forecast range (RMB263 millionRMB413 million), in line with expectations. On the industry side, based on Clarksons data, Shenwan Hongyuan Group estimated that, on an equity basis, Cssc Offshore & Marine Engineering's merchant ship order backlog at the end of September was about US$10.8 billion, with merchant ship deliveries (in CGT terms) expected to grow 11%/24%/44% year-on-year in 202628. Recently, orders for feeder container ships, product tankers and chemical tankers, and car carriers have continued to materialize, further enriching the reserve of high-value-added vessel types. The order backlog and growing production scheduling provide a basis for revenue recognition, and the gradual delivery of earlier high-priced orders is driving accelerated profit release from the shipbuilding business and associated shipyards.
