In October of this year, registrations of new Tesla, Inc. (TSLA.US) vehicles rose in several Nordic markets, extending the sales recovery momentum of the U.S. electric vehicle maker in the region.
According to data from Swedish transport analysis firm Mobility Sweden, Norwegian data statistics agency OFV, and Danish vehicle data platform bilstatistik.dk, Tesla, Inc.'s registrations surged 248% in Sweden, grew 131% in Norway, and rose 34% in Denmark.
The rebound was supported by a low base in the same period last year, rising fuel prices, government incentives, and continued growth in demand for electric vehicles. Registration data for the UK and Germany, Europe's two largest auto markets, will be released later this week.
Tesla, Inc. said in October that at the end of the third quarter, its backlog of passenger vehicle orders in hand reached a four-year high.
