TENNOR THERAP-B (06872) announced that, after comprehensively considering the existing clinical data, unmet clinical needs, competitive landscape, and commercial potential of the investigational new drug candidate rifaquone (TNP-2092), the Company has selected intra-articular injection administration for the treatment of prosthetic joint infection (PJI) as the core priority development indication for rifaquone. As the Group's core pipeline asset, rifaquone has multi-indication application prospects. Rifaquone administered via intra-articular injection for the treatment of PJI has achieved positive results in a Phase IIa proof-of-concept clinical trial as a replacement for surgery, and the first patient has been enrolled in the multicenter Phase IIb clinical trial. The trial is designed to further evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profile of rifaquone in treating PJI without debridement or revision surgery, marking a critical stage in the clinical development of this potentially disruptive new drug product.
