KEYMED BIO-B (02162) announced that it has authorized the Company to instruct an independent professional trustee (appointed to manage the 2022 Restricted Share Unit Plan), in accordance with the rules of the 2022 Restricted Share Unit Plan and the trust deed, to use approximately HK$100 million to purchase the Company's ordinary shares on the market at prevailing market prices. The shares so purchased will be held by the trustee in trust for the benefit of the grantees and used for the grant of share awards under the 2022 Restricted Share Unit Plan. The Board believes that the shares are significantly undervalued at their current market prices and do not reflect the long-term value and growth potential of the Group. This provides a good opportunity to purchase shares for the future grant of awards under the 2022 Restricted Share Unit Plan. The Company remains fully confident in the long-term development of the Group. The Board believes that the purchase of shares on the market will further support the grant of awards under the 2022 Restricted Share Unit Plan, align the interests of the grantees with the overall interests of the Company and its shareholders, and incentivize them to contribute to the long-term sustainable development of the Group, thereby providing sustained strong momentum for the Group to maintain its industry-leading position.
