Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft analyst Steve Powers' team released a report reiterating a "Buy" rating on The Coca-Cola Company (KO.US) and raising the price target from $98 to $101, implying approximately 3% upside. Coca-Cola Company closed at $92.7 on Monday, with a market capitalization of approximately $398.8 billion. The research report stated that Coca-Cola Company's Q3 results cleared a "high bar." Coca-Cola Company's Q3 organic sales and EPS both beat market expectations, but the stock closed down 1.6% that day, with investors mainly concerned about three points: recent organic sales performance, FY2027 EPS headwinds, and relatively elevated valuation (approximately 26x NTM EPS). Company management raised FY2026 guidance to organic growth of at least 5% and EPS growth of at least 11%. However, the low-end Q4 organic sales growth implied by the guidance is weaker than market expectations, mainly reflecting shipment timing and normalization of unit case volume momentum. Management emphasized that the Q4 slowdown largely stems from calendar effects and possible bottler destockingbottlers held elevated safety stock at the beginning of the year due to GEO Group Inc political volatility and robust demand, and inventory normalization is expected in Q4 (mainly in the Asia-Pacific region), with no structural changes in system-level inventory management. Deutsche Bank believes FY2027 pressure is digestible and remains positive on system resilience. Deutsche Bank believes the Q3 results further reinforce its positive view on Coca-Cola Company's organic sales momentum, EPS growth, and free cash flow conversion/ROIC improvement, particularly relative to multinational consumer staples peers. Despite FY27 facing below-the-line pressures including cost inflation, foreign exchange, CCBA (bottling business-related), and interest and tax burdens, Deutsche Bank still expects the company to deliver another year of solid results backed by healthy volume momentum, system pricing power, and cost-reduction potential. Deutsche Bank forecasts FY2027 organic sales growth of 5.2%, corresponding to EPS of $3.60, up from the prior estimate of $3.54.
