LIS Technologies, a developer of laser uranium enrichment technology focused on the nuclear energy sector, filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday. The company plans to offer 2.8 million shares at a price range of $5 to $7 per share to raise $17 million. The company plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "LIS." LIS Technologies co-founders and executives Jay Jiang Yu and Christo Liebenberg have indicated an intention to subscribe for up to $500,000 of shares in this IPO, representing 2.9% of the offering size. Based on the midpoint of the proposed offering price range, LIS Technologies would have a fully diluted market capitalization of $589 million. LIS Technologies is an early-stage uranium enrichment company developing patented and proprietary laser uranium enrichment technology, centered on the CRISLA process, aimed at producing enriched uranium for the nuclear energy industry. The company's target customers include operators of commercial light-water reactors, as well as developers and operators of advanced reactors, including small modular reactors and microreactors. The company has initiated laboratory-scale testing in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and plans to commence pilot plant operations around 2030, subject to financing being in place and receiving U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensing, and to build a commercial uranium enrichment facility around 2033. The company is one of six participants in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) low-enriched uranium (LEU) procurement program.
