Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings (00874): Subsidiary's drug enters Phase II clinical trial

Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings (00874) announced that its subsidiary Guangzhou Wanglaoji Pharmaceutical Company Limited ("Wanglaoji Pharmaceutical") recently held a national investigators' meeting for the Phase II clinical trial of Kegan Liyan Oral Liquid in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection in children (wind-heat cold syndrome), officially launching the Phase II clinical trial project. Kegan Liyan Oral Liquid obtained its new drug certificate and production approval in 1997. It is an exclusive product of Wanglaoji Pharmaceutical and is included in Part I of the 2025 edition of the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China. It has the effects of dispelling wind and clearing heat, and detoxifying and soothing the throat, and is mainly used for colds characterized by external invasion of wind-heat and internal disturbance of pathogenic heat. In January 2024, Wanglaoji Pharmaceutical obtained the "Approval Notice for Supplementary Drug Clinical Trial Application" issued by the National Medical Products Administration, agreeing to conduct clinical trials for the pediatric population.
