LENOVO GROUP (00992) fell more than 3% again, with its stock price down 40% over the past month.
LENOVO GROUP (00992) fell more than 3% again, with the stock down 40% over the past month. As of press time, it was down 3.71% at HK$21.8, with turnover of approximately HK$1.139 billion. On the news front, the latest statistical report from market research firm Counterpoint Research shows that global PC shipments in the third quarter of 2026 were 57 million units, down 21% year-on-year and down 13.8% quarter-on-quarter, as high costs for memory and other components continued to push up PC prices and suppress demand. The report noted that although Lenovo's sales fell more than 20% in the third quarter, it still maintained its market-leading position, with shipments reaching 15 million units. It is worth noting that recently, against the backdrop of a re-tightening interest rate environment and dual policy and financing uncertainties facing data center construction, discussions about the risk of new clouds "running short of money" have been heating up. Musk believes that more than 200 new clouds will face small-fish-like deaths and consolidation. Citi recently cut its target price for LENOVO GROUP from HK$50 to HK$40, reflecting the potential share dilution impact from convertible bonds and warrants. However, the bank believes that LENOVO GROUP's direct exposure to high-risk new cloud customers is limited.
