CHERVON (02285) rose over 4% in early trading. As of press time, it was up 3.96% at HK$34.66, with a turnover of HK$21.3387 million. On the news front, on September 10, former Techtronic Industries Chief Executive Joseph Galli Jr joined CHERVON as its new Chief Executive and launched an executive recruitment drive, having recruited eight key management personnel within one month of taking office. Daiwa believes that this round of recruitment focuses on sales capabilities in the western U.S. states and with strategic customers, while also covering the Canadian market. The bank expects Joe Galli's recruitment drive to continue, with the next phase likely shifting focus to the European market. Guotai Haitong stated that tool intensity is an important feature of AIDC construction, bringing higher tool procurement and consumption intensity. In addition, traditional tool demand is mainly driven by DIY and home renovation, with high product price sensitivity and limited gross margins; whereas AI data center construction targets professional contractors and is a commercial business with higher barriers to entry, imposing far higher requirements on tool reliability, precision, power output and operating efficiency than consumer-grade products, so customers are willing to pay a significant premium for professional-grade products.
