CSPC PHARMA(01093) announces that the Phase II clinical trial of SYH2066 tablets (the Product), developed by the Group for the treatment of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, has officially been launched at the first research center in China.
CSPC PHARMA (01093) announced that the Phase II clinical trial of SYH2066 tablets (the "Product"), developed by the Group for the treatment of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, has officially been launched at the first research site in China.
The Product is a small-molecule RSV fusion protein (F protein) inhibitor, registered as a Class 1 chemical drug. By binding to and locking the F protein of RSV, the Product blocks its conformational change, preventing it from mediating membrane fusion between the virus and host cells, thereby stopping the virus from entering host cells to replicate.
Previously, in September 2025, the Group obtained the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration of the People's Republic of China for the Product, and promptly upon approval initiated a single-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single- and multiple-ascending-dose Phase I clinical trial in healthy Chinese participants to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic characteristics, and food effect of the Product. To date, the Phase I clinical trial data have preliminarily validated the safety and pharmacokinetic characteristics of the Product in humans, with data showing a favorable safety profile for oral administration of the Product.
The clinical trial launched this time is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial, designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Product in Chinese adult participants with RSV infection. Currently, participant recruitment and screening for this clinical trial are being actively advanced.
