LONGBIO-B (01779) rose over 6%, up 6.65% as of press time, at HK$73.75, with a turnover of HK$1.703 million. On the news front, on October 21, LONGBIO-B announced that the top-line data from the Phase II clinical trial (Phase II clinical trial) of LP-005 (a bifunctional antibody fusion protein independently developed by the Group, targeting C5 and C3b complement and used for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)) conducted in China have been read out. The top-line data showed that LP-005 has significant efficacy and a favorable safety and tolerability profile. LP-005 is the first product from the Group's bifunctional antibody development platform and is a bifunctional antibody fusion protein targeting C5 and C3b complement. The Board believes that the top-line data from the Phase II clinical trial confirm that LP-005, as a dual-target complement inhibitor, has a competitive advantage in terms of efficacy, along with favorable safety and tolerability characteristics, while the Q4W dosing interval reflects the long-acting advantage of LP-005. These results support further advancement of the clinical development of LP-005.
