The meeting pointed out that quality is the foundation of high-quality development of the platform economy. Since the Guiding Opinions were jointly issued and implemented last year by ten departments including the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, various online trading platform enterprises have taken active action, launched numerous quality improvement measures based on their own actual conditions, and achieved phased results. However, new business formats and models of online transactions are constantly iterating, quality and safety risks in scenarios such as livestreaming e-commerce, instant retail, and social e-commerce have become more complex and hidden, and problems such as counterfeit and shoddy goods, products not matching descriptions, and false advertising still occur from time to time. There are still many bottlenecks and difficulties in platform quality improvement work. The meeting required that political awareness be heightened, and a deep understanding be gained that improving the quality of platform products and services is an inevitable requirement for practicing the people-centered development philosophy, an intrinsic need for promoting high-quality development of the platform economy, and an important measure for promoting consumption expansion and quality improvement and building a quality powerhouse. Platforms should be urged to effectively fulfill their "gatekeeper" responsibilities, benchmark against the Guiding Opinions and the 2026 task list, improve their quality management systems, tighten and solidify quality control responsibilities across the entire chain, proactively align with key regulatory tasks, and strengthen collaborative governance. Platforms should leverage their big data advantages to empower quality improvement in upstream industries, promote the transformation of data advantages into quality advantages and industrial advantages, drive coordinated quality improvement across supply chains through data collaboration, and use consumer data to feed back into iterative upgrades of product quality. Representatives from online trading platform enterprises including JD.com, Taotian, Pinduoduo, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Douyin, Dmall, Vipshop, and Dewu attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
