NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) is stepping up investment in Europe's AI sector, announcing plans to support four German startups: Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace. NVIDIA Corporation did not disclose the specific investment amount for each company.
The news comes as German Chancellor Merz urged companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to "open the door to AI and make full use of your data."
The move is part of NVIDIA Corporation's commitment to invest nearly $10 billion in European companies, universities, and research institutions. The commitment was announced on Monday at the "Invest in Germany Summit" in Berlin. NVIDIA Corporation CEO Jensen Huang told attendees: "AI can only enhance your capabilities, not replace them."
NVIDIA Corporation is also deepening cooperation with the German federal government and the "Industry 4.0 Platform." The platform brings together representatives from government, industry, research, and industry associations, aiming to accelerate the application of industrial AI.
Earlier the same day, Siemens showcased new AI solutions jointly built with NVIDIA Corporation at its Erlangen plant. Siemens said the technology can reduce the engineering workload required to prepare for production by up to 85%; AI-driven production planning can cut costs by up to 20%.
