CHINA CHENGTONG (00217): Zhao Peng Appointed as Executive Director

CHINA CHENGTONG (00217) announced that Ms. Sun Jie has resigned as a non-executive director, chairman of the board of directors, and a member of each of the remuneration committee and the nomination committee of the board of directors due to having reached retirement age, with effect from October 15, 2026. With effect from the effective date, Mr. Zhao Peng has been appointed as an executive director, chairman of the board of directors, and chairman of the environmental, social and governance committee of the board of directors. With effect from the effective date, Ms. Sun has ceased to be a member of the remuneration committee and the nomination committee, and Ms. Bai Chunrui has been appointed as a member of the nomination committee. At the same time, Mr. Chen Jianying has been appointed as a member of the remuneration committee to fill the vacancy following Ms. Sun's resignation. In addition, Mr. Zhao will succeed Mr. Chen Jianying as chairman of the environmental, social and governance committee with effect from the effective date.
