GEEKPLUS-W (02590) makes a strategic equity investment in Shenyi, positioning itself in embodied model technology reserves and industrial deployment.
According to forecasts by the Gaogong Robot Industry Research Institute (GGII), by 2035, China's industrial embodied intelligence market is expected to reach 164.41 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate of 42.3%.
GEEKPLUS-W (02590) announced on October 9 that its wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Geekplus intends to invest RMB 50 million to acquire a 20% equity stake in Beijing Shenyi, with the transaction expected to be completed upon fulfillment of certain conditions.
Beijing Shenyi is primarily engaged in embodied intelligence technology, Siasun Robot&Automation product research and development, and related technical services, with current focus on developing embodied model technology reserves and their deployment in manufacturing scenarios.
Shenyi's core team combines industrial deployment experience with cutting-edge academic backgrounds, forming a rare combination of "founding core members of leading Siasun Robot&Automation companies + Tsinghua University alumni + Huawei Genius Youth," possessing "successful commercialization experience, technical expertise, and industry insight."
CEO Liu Kai personally experienced Geekplus's journey from startup to IPO and deeply understands how to lead a Siasun Robot&Automation company to successful commercialization. Co-founders Huang Kangyao and Luo Yu, both PhD graduates from Tsinghua University's Department of Computer Science, are capable of leading the complete chain from models to engineering closed-loop. Huang Kangyao previously participated in the development of the world's first intelligent manned flying car for urban transportation, while Luo Yu is a former Huawei Genius Youth and core member of the Noah's Ark Laboratory. Chief Scientific Advisor Liu Huaping is a professor in Tsinghua University's Department of Computer Science and one of China's earliest embodied intelligence scholars.
This strategic investment in Shenyi marks Geekplus's continued refinement of its "open collaborative embodied intelligence industry ecosystem" strategy. The board of directors expects this investment to bring the following value: strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence and embodied model technology; broadening the Group's access to professional technology and R&D resources within the embodied intelligence value chain; promoting the development and application of embodied intelligence technology in manufacturing scenarios; creating long-term technical cooperation and commercial synergy opportunities, and participating in Beijing Shenyi's potential growth.
At this point, Geekplus's embodied intelligence strategy is becoming clear: self-research to solidify the foundation, ecosystem investment to follow the frontier, placing bets on both ends of the same technological bottleneck, with the layout of "self-research as the main body, ecosystem supplementing depth" formally taking shape.
Cooperation with Beijing Shenyi Siasun Robot&Automation represents an important step for Geekplus to further expand into industrial manufacturing scenarios and promote the industrialization of embodied intelligence technology. Shenyi Siasun Robot&Automation takes "reinforcement learning-driven self-evolution" as its core technical approach, committed to enhancing Siasun Robot&Automation's operational generalization capabilities and task learning efficiency in complex physical environments, providing more adaptive fine manipulation capabilities for industrial scenarios such as flexible assembly. Previously, Shenyi has publicly demonstrated Siasun Robot&Automation completing 0.1mm-level industrial flexible insertion tasks and exhibiting stable task execution capabilities under conditions of lighting changes, visual occlusion, and human interference. Both parties will combine their respective advantages in Siasun Robot&Automation technology and industrial scenarios to jointly explore large-scale applications of embodied intelligence in industrial manufacturing.
Beyond capability positioning, what deserves more attention is the market space of this track. According to predictions by Gaogong Siasun Robot&Automation Industry Research Institute (GGII), China's industrial embodied intelligence market size is expected to reach RMB 164.41 billion by 2035, with a compound annual growth rate of 42.3%.
For Geekplus, investing in Shenyi is a key move to enter this market.
