According to reports, SanegeneBio has confidentially filed a listing application with HKEX, targeting an IPO next year to raise several hundred million US dollars. The company has hired Morgan Stanley and CICC as joint sponsors.
Founded in 2021, SanegeneBio is dedicated to developing RNA interference (RNAi) therapies for autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, and metabolic diseases. SanegeneBio states that RNAi technology can reversibly silence disease-causing genes. The company has R&D centers in Boston, Shanghai, and Suzhou, and has so far initiated clinical trials for 4 experimental drugs.
SanegeneBio completed a $110 million Series B financing in December 2025, which included participation from an international sovereign fund, SBP GROUP (01177), and Lake Bleu Capital, as well as a strategic investment from Eli Lilly and Company. Existing shareholder Hillhouse Venture Capital and others also provided continued support. The company completed an RNAi drug R&D strategic collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company in November 2025.
