Betta Pharmaceuticals (300558.SZ) announced that recently, the clinical trial application for the BPI-572270 capsule drug filed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hangzhou Jingyao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("U.S. FDA"). The drug is intended for use in advanced solid tumors. It is reported that preclinical studies show that BPI-572270 has strong inhibitory effects on multiple types of tumor cells carrying different RAS mutations (including KRAS, NRAS, and HRAS mutations such as RAS G12X, G13X, Q61X, etc.), including pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and other tumor cells, while also possessing good pharmacokinetic properties and safety. BPI-572270 is expected to achieve more comprehensive disease control through monotherapy for various RAS-mutant cancers or through combination therapy.
