On the news front, according to HENLIUS's official WeChat account, at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting, two studies in the field of gastrointestinal tumors on HENLIUS's independently developed innovative anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody H drug Hansizhuang were presented as posters. The two studies were respectively the TORCH-C study on serplulimab combined with chemoradiotherapy for neoadjuvant treatment of pMMR-type high-risk locally advanced colon cancer (LACC), jointly initiated by Professor Cai Sanjun and Professor Zhang Zhen of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, exploring an innovative neoadjuvant treatment model; and the study on serplulimab combined with chemoradiotherapy for unresectable locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), jointly initiated by Professor Fu Xiaolong and Professor Yu Wen of Shanghai Chest Hospital, adding an immunotherapy combined with stratified chemoradiotherapy treatment option for the field of gastrointestinal tumors and further demonstrating the clinical value and therapeutic potential of H drug in this field. The TORCH-C study released at this ASTRO Annual Meeting is a randomized phase II clinical trial that evaluated the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant short-course radiotherapy combined with the CAPOX regimen and serplulimab for MSS/pMMR-type high-risk locally advanced colon cancer. The results showed that the pCR rate in the immunotherapy combined with short-course radiotherapy plus chemotherapy group reached 45.3%, more than 4 times higher than the chemotherapy-alone group (10%), providing a new treatment option for high-risk LACC patients. The data from this study had previously been released at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.
