Deloitte: HKEX (00388) ranks second globally with HK$387.9 billion in IPO fundraising in the first three quarters of this year

HKEX (00388) ranked second with HK$387.9 billion raised, with 116 IPOs; third was the New York Stock Exchange, raising HK$163.2 billion, with 44 IPOs; fourth was the Shanghai Stock Exchange, raising HK$139.8 billion, with 31 IPOs; and fifth was the National Stock Exchange of India, raising HK$81.8 billion, with 137 IPOs.
Edward Au said that Hong Kong's IPO fundraising this year is being raised from an original estimate of at least HK$300 billion to HK$480 billion, an increase of 60%, and has a chance of breaking the record of nearly HK$450 billion raised in 2010 to set a new high. However, the number of fundraising deals is maintained at about 160.
