WUHAN YOUJI (02881) Enters into Construction Contract for Phase I Civil Engineering of Malaysia Plant

WUHAN YOUJI (02881) announced that on September 23, 2026 (after trading hours), the owner, Benzoplus Chemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company), entered into a construction contract with the contractor, CCIE Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. Pursuant to which, the contractor agreed to undertake the Phase I civil engineering project, with a provisional contract amount of RM74 million (including 6% sales and service tax) and a maximum contract amount of RM85 million. The Phase I civil engineering project refers to the civil, fit-out, and installation works for the Phase I site of the Malaysia plant, with a total gross floor area of approximately 20,000 square meters. The Group's existing production facilities are primarily located in mainland China. Establishing an overseas production base in Malaysia is intended to mitigate the potential adverse effects of changes in international trade policies, reduce production and trade risks, and support the Group's internationalization and long-term development. The contractor was selected through an invited tender process. The Board believes that the contractor possesses the relevant engineering construction capabilities and project experience, and that its ultimate holding group has comprehensive engineering service capabilities in energy and chemical engineering, industrial plants, and mechanical and electrical engineering, and is able to support the requirements and timetable of the project.
