SHOUGANG LANZA (02553) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hebei Shoulang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., obtained the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification EU Scheme (ISCC EU) certificate granted by SCS Global Services on September 14, 2026. This is the first time such certification has been obtained in the global renewable carbon fuel sector. ISCC EU is a sustainability certification system officially recognized by the European Union, ensuring that the production and use of biomass energy and biofuels comply with strict environmental and sustainability standards. This certification confirms compliance with the requirements of the revised Renewable Energy Directive (EU Directive 2023/2413) (RED III). RED III is a core regulatory framework under the EU's green transition agenda, setting renewable energy targets and establishing sustainability standards, life-cycle carbon reduction criteria, and feedstock traceability requirements for biofuels and sustainable green fuels. ISCC EU certification is an EU-recognized certification system and an important market access credential for green fuels entering the European market. Obtaining ISCC EU certification signifies that the Group's ethanol products produced using industrial tail gas as feedstock possess the necessary international sustainability qualifications for use as feedstock in the production of sustainable green fuels. Following the obtainment of ISCC EU certification, the Group's ethanol products will be able to be sold directly to the EU's marine fuel and road transport fuel markets as certified renewable carbon fuels, and will also be able to enter the aviation fuel markets of the EU and the UK. The obtainment of this certification is expected to open up overseas fuel supply chain channels for the Group, particularly by facilitating the Group's products' access to the EU's ReFuelEU aviation decarbonization market, thereby broadening the Group's international green fuel business footprint.
