On Tuesday, U.S. cloud computing service providers' stock prices rose, with NEBIUS (NBIS.US) gaining over 5%, CoreWeave (CRWV.US) and IREN (IREN.US) rising nearly 3%, and Oracle Corporation (ORCL.US) and Alphabet Inc. Class C (GOOGL.US) gaining over 2%. On the news front, investment bank Bernstein pointed out that in recent quarters, cloud providers' revenue and backlog orders have accelerated in tandem, with demand continuing to outpace supply. Nebius has announced that starting October 1, it will raise prices for multiple on-demand computing resources, with the latest NVIDIA Corporation GPUs seeing the largest increase.
Bernstein estimates that for the full year 2026, the cash capital expenditures of giants such as Microsoft Corporation, Amazon.com, Inc., Alphabet Inc. Class C, and Oracle Corporation are expected to reach $660 billion, approaching $800 billion when including Meta. During the same period, combined cloud revenue from AWS, Azure, Alphabet Inc. Class C Cloud, and OCI is projected to reach $105 billion, up 52% year-over-year; the four companies' total remaining performance obligations (RPO) are expected to reach $2.33 trillion, up 188% year-over-year.
