Tencent (00700) rises over 5%, up 5.49% as of press time, at HK$453.6, with turnover of HK$7.907 billion. On the news front, Meta's AI assistant Muse has climbed to the top of the free charts on both Apple's and Google's US app stores. Its key capability lies in its ability to read users' social content on Facebook Marketplace and Instagram, and connect to third-party services such as Gmail, Apple and Google Calendar, and OpenTable, and even access other websites through a browser. Market analysis suggests that for Tencent, its WeChat-native Agent "Xiaowei" shares a similar product logic with Muse. WeChat naturally possesses social relationships, Official Account and Channels content, Mini Programs, WeChat Pay, and a merchant ecosystem. Since June this year, "Xiaowei" has been gradually rolled out in small-scale gray testing. Guosheng previously pointed out that for Agents, ecosystem building is one of the core competitive moats. WeChat's integration of an Agent is expected to fully unlock the value of its user and application resources, establish an efficient and diverse Agent ecosystem, and drive WeChat to become a new "super entry point" in the AI era, enabling Tencent to "overtake on the curve" in AI competition.
