Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (01276): HRS-1596 Tablets Receive Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice

Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (01276) announced that recently, its subsidiary Fujian Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration for HRS-1596 Tablets, and will soon initiate clinical trials. HRS-1596 Tablets are a Class 1 new drug independently developed by the company, which can effectively reduce weight and improve blood glucose-related indicators in animal efficacy models for obesity and diabetes, respectively. Upon review, no oral drugs targeting the same target have been approved for marketing domestically or internationally. As of now, the cumulative R&D investment in HRS-1596 Tablets-related projects is approximately RMB 18.4 million (unaudited).
