US Stock Market Move | Optical communication stocks rise; Astera Labs (ALAB.US) gains over 7%.

On Monday, US optical communication stocks rose. Astera Labs (ALAB.US) gained over 7%, Credo (CRDO.US) gained over 6%, Lumentum (LITE.US) gained over 5%, Corning Inc (GLW.US) gained nearly 4%, Coherent (COHR.US) gained nearly 3%, and Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL.US) gained over 2%. On the news front, the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2026) opened today in Malaga, Spain, and will run until September 24, with AI data center optical interconnect, CPO and other topics becoming key agenda items. Marvell Technology, Inc. showcased its next-generation 2nm optical interconnect technology at today's ECOC conference, while Coherent announced on September 20 the AI data center optical connectivity technologies it will present during the conference.
