MEITU (01357) rose over 5%, up 5.37% as of press time, at HK$4.02, with a turnover of HK$239 million. On the news front, MEITU announced that the Board was further informed by Mr. Wu that on September 15, 2026, he purchased 1 million shares of the Company on the open market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited at an average price of HK$3.899 per share (this increase). Following this increase, Mr. Wu's total interest in the Company increased from 595 million shares to 596 million shares, and his shareholding percentage in the Company's issued share capital rose from approximately 12.97% to approximately 12.99%. Since May 10, 2018, Mr. Wu has cumulatively purchased 6.58 million shares. In addition, regarding the share reduction rumors mentioned on forums recently, in order to avoid any potential misunderstanding among the public, the Company hereby makes the following clarification. The Board of Directors of the Company (the Board) has been informed by Mr. Wu that Mr. Wu has never sold any shares of the Company (Shares), nor does he have any plan or intention to sell any Shares or otherwise reduce his shareholding in the Company. Mr. Wu further reiterated to the Board that he believes the Company's business fundamentals remain strong, and given the Company's continued acceleration in product innovation and its long-term growth potential, he does not rule out further increasing his shareholding in the Company at an appropriate time.
