GENSCRIPT BIO (01548) opened nearly 5% higher, following a surge of over 14% yesterday. As of press time, it was up 4.78% at HK$39, with a turnover of HK$27.2048 million. On the news front, in response to yesterday's share price rise, GENSCRIPT BIO announced that the company has entered into an agreement to collaborate with Lilly TuneLab, Eli Lilly's AI/machine learning drug discovery collaboration platform. Under the agreement, the group will provide wet lab services to TuneLab participating companies at preferential rates, helping generate experimental data and translating AI predictions into biological evidence data. The board believes that the agreement will further expand the group's presence in the rapidly growing AI-driven drug discovery ecosystem, consistent with its strategic direction of supporting biopharmaceutical innovation through integrated R&D solutions. China Securities Co., Ltd. believes that GENSCRIPT's AIDD-related revenue in the first half of this year was close to US$40 million and expects it to maintain rapid growth in the coming years. The company recently completed a Hong Kong share placement, with the proceeds expected to be mainly used for AIDD capacity building. As AI drug development gradually moves from computational science toward deep integration with experimental science, the company is poised to continue benefiting.
