HK Stock Market Move | SKB BIO (06990) rises over 3%; positive results achieved in part 2 of the POLARIS-1 clinical trial, and phase 3 clinical trial has been initiated.

SKB BIO (06990) rose over 3%, up 3.35% as of press time, at HK$480.8, with a turnover of HK$253 million. On the news front, SKB BIO recently announced that its partner Windward Bio AG (Windward Bio) has released positive interim results from the Phase 2 portion of the POLARIS-1 clinical trial of SKB378/WIN378 (a fully human, ultra-long-acting monoclonal antibody targeting thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP)) for the treatment of asthma. SKB378/WIN378 is a novel fully human, ultra-long-acting monoclonal antibody with a unique binding mode that can effectively inhibit TSLP. The Phase 3 portion of POLARIS-1 has been initiated by Windward Bio, with two dosing regimens administered twice yearly, designed to evaluate the impact of SKB378/WIN378 on the annualized rate of asthma exacerbations and other key efficacy endpoints in patients with severe asthma. In addition, Windward Bio plans to initiate a second Phase 3 clinical study, POLARIS-2, in the first half of 2027. Data from the Phase 2 study of POLARIS-1 will be presented at an upcoming medical conference.
