NASA contractor Rothe Development races toward Nasdaq, aiming to raise $50 million.
The contractor Rothe Development, which provides engineering and mission operations services for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and other federal agencies, submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday to raise up to $50 million through an initial public offering (IPO).

It is understood that Rothe Development provides engineering, mission operation, and technical services to NASA, the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies, while also offering precision calibration services to commercial customers. Its government services division operates through six major business lines: NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (a key facility for astronaut extravehicular activity training and mission simulation for the International Space Station and the Artemis program), mission control video systems and NASA television production, ground systems and telemetry and facilities infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT services, and engineering services. Its commercial services division provides calibration and metrology services to clients in aerospace, defense, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing. The vast majority of the companys revenue comes from NASA, primarily under cost-plus contracts. The company is mainly located in the Houston metropolitan area, near NASA's Johnson Space Center.
Founded in 1967, the company, headquartered in Webster, Texas, reported revenue of $122 million for the 12 months ending June 30, 2026. The company plans to list on NASDAQ but has yet to disclose its stock ticker. Rothe Development has confidentially submitted its IPO application on July 29, 2026. Titan Partners is serving as the sole bookrunner for the transaction. Pricing terms have not yet been disclosed.
