Brookfield Asset Management has secured a $1 billion commitment from the UK's Nuclear Liabilities Fund, which will be used for multiple investment strategies under its management.
Bruker Corporation's Field Asset Management (BAM.US) has received a $1 billion capital commitment from the UK Nuclear Liabilities Fund, which will be used for various investment strategies. This New York-based asset management firm recently established a new business unit focused on packaging and selling diversified asset portfolios.
The funds will be managed by the Investment Solutions Group of Bruker Corporation's Field. This department was established last year, primarily targeting institutional investors, private wealth clients, and family offices. According to a statement, Bruker Corporation's Field plans to allocate this capital across its strategies in infrastructure, energy, private equity, real estate, and private credit through a combination of fund investments, direct investments, and co-investments.
The UK Nuclear Liabilities Fund was established to provide financial assurance for future nuclear power plant decommissioning costs. As of March 2025, the fund manages approximately 20.7 billion (approximately $28 billion) in assets. Bruker Corporation's Field anticipates continuously reinvesting the returns generated from this portfolio into new opportunities.
The Investment Solutions Group of Bruker Corporation's Field is chaired by Howard Marks of Oaktree Capital and led by Alper Daglioglu, a former senior executive at Morgan Stanley. This department does not merely sell single funds to investors but integrates various investment products from Bruker Corporation's Field's extensive business network into tailored comprehensive portfolios.
Daglioglu stated in a statement, The Nuclear Liabilities Fund has an extremely long-term investment vision, which provides us with the opportunity to invest in different ways.
