TrendForce has released its September panel price trend forecast: By September 2026, TV, monitor, and laptop panel prices are expected to remain stable. The specific content is as follows: TV Panels As September begins, the demand for TV panels is steadily warming up. To meet the strong demand expected during the end-of-year peak season, major brand customers are anticipated to increase their procurement of TV panels by 15% in the third quarter, which has bolstered the confidence of panel manufacturers in stabilizing prices. At the same time, major panel manufacturers plan to adjust their production capacity for an extended period during the "Eleven" Holiday in October to achieve a more stable balance between supply and demand for panels, thereby stabilizing the price trends for panels in the future. Currently, it is observed that TV panel prices are likely to turn stable across the board in September. Monitor Panels After September, the demand for monitor panels has shown a relatively stable trend compared to the previous two months; however, overall demand in the third quarter remains weaker than in the first half of the year. Nonetheless, as the costs of upstream components continue to rise, manufacturers have limited room for price concessions, which brand customers also understand, showing no strong inclination to demand price cuts at present. Current observations suggest that mainstream monitor panel prices are expected to remain stable across the board in September. Laptop Panels After September, the demand for laptop panels remains somewhat weak, with overall procurement momentum from major brand customers in the third quarter potentially declining by 1520%. Even in the fourth quarter, there is a significant possibility for further reductions. This reflects that the overall demand for panels was largely absorbed in advance in the first half of the year, causing brand customers to likely adopt a more cautious inventory management approach in the latter half of the year. Against this backdrop, panel manufacturers actually face pressure from a steep decline in shipments in the third quarter; however, due to rising component costs, they are unwilling to make substantial concessions on panel prices. Observations indicate that mainstream laptop panel prices are expected to remain stable across the board in September.
