ANTON OILFIELD (03337) announced that on September 6, 2026, the group received approval from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to sign a long-term cooperation agreement with the State Oil Marketing Company (referred to as "SOMO"), obtaining qualifications for crude oil sales and becoming an authorized partner for crude oil export sales in Iraq.
According to the terms of the agreement, the group will acquire the rights to extract oil from the self-operated oil fields of the National Oil Company of Iraq, as well as general long-term sales cooperation qualifications, which will help facilitate the financial settlement channels for crude oil sales to oil and gas development service providers. This includes connecting crude oil buyers and traders, coordinating crude oil shipment arrangements, and actively promoting resource monetization to support relevant companies in Iraq's oil and gas industry ecosystem, such as contractors' settlement needs. Additionally, the group will act as a general long-term oil supplier, helping SOMO to increase its market share.
Iraq has long been a key international market of strategic significance for the group. In light of the complex situation and operational pressures facing the Iraqi oil and gas industry, the group is committed to investing and fully leveraging its integrated service capabilities and resource network synergies. It aims to provide comprehensive and in-depth support for Iraq's oil and gas industry ecosystem, facilitating the stable development of the sector.
This cooperation marks another important milestone in the group's continued deepening development in the Iraqi market. It establishes a new channel for settlement engineering services through oil extraction, representing a groundbreaking model that is expected to bring mutual benefits to the Iraqi government, the National Oil Company, oil field operators, and service providers. Furthermore, by deeply engaging in the coordination and settlement of crude oil sales, the group's service chain will extend further into the commercialization support of oil and gas resources, expanding its full industry chain service landscape and further deepening collaborations with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and relevant national oil institutions, which will enhance the groups business resilience and risk management capabilities in a complex market environment.
The signing of this long-term cooperation agreement for crude oil sales will make Anton the only independent oil and gas energy company from China in the Iraqi market that possesses qualifications for oil field technical services, oil and gas resource development, and crude oil sales services simultaneously. The group will further upgrade its full-chain service collaboration from upstream development and oil field efficiency improvements to downstream monetization, constructing a more complete oil and gas industry service ecosystem. This unique positioning will open a new chapter in the groups long-term sustainable development.
