Hangzhou Guotai Environmental Protection Technology (301203.SZ) announced that the company intends to invest in the construction of a renewable energy materials recycling and battery materials production project (Phase I) in the Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou City, with the implementation entity being its holding subsidiary, Zhejiang Jingzhen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. The estimated total investment is approximately 808 million yuan (to be invested in phases). Upon completion, the project is expected to establish a recycling capacity of 100,000 tons/year of high-purity graphite, of which a portion will be sold externally and the remainder will be used as raw material for subsequent surface modification processes; at the same time, it will form a surface modification capacity of 50,000 tons/year for lithium battery high-purity graphite. This external investment is an extension of the company's business focus on pollution control, resource recycling, and the green production of new energy materials. The company plans to leverage its existing solid waste resource treatment technology, engineering construction, and operational management experience to enter into the high-value utilization of lithium battery anode waste, purification of high-purity graphite, and production of graphite anode materials, further completing the business chain and cultivating new business growth points.
