Fujian Cosunter Pharmaceutical (300436.SZ) announced that its subsidiary Fujian Guangsheng Zhonglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is conducting a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial (GST-Peak-Triple) to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a triple all-oral regimen (GST-HG141 + GST-HG131 + nucleoside (acid) antiviral drugs against hepatitis B virus) in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Recently, the first trial participant has been successfully enrolled and dosed. This combination regimen is an all-oral triple therapy that was included in the Pilot Project for Optimizing the Review and Approval of Innovative Drug Clinical Trials as of March 2025. It is a key innovative drug supported by the national policy system for the development of innovative drugs, which has significant clinical value. Its related sequential combination therapy was also selected in January 2026 for the National Key Science and Technology Project for the Prevention and Control of New and Major Infectious Diseases focusing on achieving clinical cure for hepatitis B. The company plans to progress methodically with three summit clinical studies targeting functional cure for hepatitis B through all-oral regimens: Peak-Triple (six-month all-oral regimen), Peak-Immune (one-year all-oral regimen with immune consolidation therapy), and Peak-Core (ongoing GST-HG141 monotherapy Phase III and two-year all-oral expansion study). These studies will explore and validate the optimal all-oral functional cure regimens for hepatitis B through combinations of drugs with different mechanisms and dosing regimens.
