According to informed sources, Anthropic, the developer of the artificial intelligence model Claude, is close to finalizing an expansion of its revolving credit facility to $15 billion, clearing a significant hurdle for the company ahead of its highly anticipated IPO filing.
The sources stated that Morgan Stanley will lead this credit arrangement, with Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup also playing key roles. These four banks are the main underwriters for Anthropic's upcoming IPO.
It is reported that Anthropic aims to raise funds through this IPO that could match or even exceed SpaceX's (SPCX.US) scale. SpaceX went public in June 2026, and with underwriters exercising their over-allotment options, the final fundraising total reached $85.7 billion, with a valuation of about $1.77 trillion. If Anthropic achieves its market expectation valuation of around $2 trillion, it could surpass SpaceX, becoming the largest IPO in history.
