CH BIOTECH SER (08037) announced that on September 2, 2026, its subsidiary, Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (operating under the business name "Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Hospital"), will establish a flagship boron neutron capture therapy project in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan Province, China. It has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong-based comprehensive oncology specialty organization and Tianma Medical Groups member institution, Ankang Medical Cancer Center (Ankang), to collaborate on cross-border medical services, bi-directional referrals, and related services for cancer patients.
According to the cooperation agreement, the hospital and Ankang will establish a collaborative mechanism for cross-border oncology diagnosis and treatment, allowing bi-directional referrals for eligible patients. Ankang will be responsible for compliance education and information disclosure on the overseas side, initial patient screening and assessment, coordination of cross-border referrals, guidance for entry and medical treatment, as well as post-operative overseas rehabilitation and follow-up management. The hospital will be responsible for clinical treatment of boron neutron therapy during the patients hospitalization, inpatient management, medical quality and safety, and timely synchronization of diagnosis and treatment progress with Ankang. Both parties will also conduct joint multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations for patients who have undergone initial screening.
The cooperation agreement is a framework agreement, valid for one year from the date of signing, and may be extended upon negotiation. Specific implementation arrangements (including any overseas physician practice and joint diagnosis and treatment details) will be subject to a separate implementation agreement.
Ankang is a comprehensive oncology specialty institution in Hong Kong, China. It provides a full range of cancer care services, including radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy in clinics, as well as related specialty surgical and nursing services. Ankang is a member institution under Tianma Medical, which is a comprehensive medical group focused on oncology, with a network across Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The hospital is the flagship project of the group located in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan, which entered a trial operation phase in February 2026 and began treating patients for the first time in March 2026, having completed dozens of treatments to date. Its approved indications primarily include head and neck tumors, with plans to expand to other solid tumors. Boron neutron therapy is a precision radiotherapy modality characterized by its high targeting of tumors while causing relatively limited damage to surrounding normal tissues. As disclosed in the companys announcement dated August 3, 2026, regarding the clinical treatment progress at the hospital, the overall response rate for the first 10 head and neck cancer patients receiving boron neutron therapy services at the hospital reached 80% based on follow-up after three months of treatment.
The group has previously signed cooperation agreements with well-known hospitals in Mainland China, such as Beijing United Family Hospital Management Company, to expand the patient sources in the Chinese market. This cooperation agreement will further enhance the patient sources for the hospital's boron neutron therapy services through Ankang's screening, referral, and follow-up capabilities, combining Tianma Medicals oncology network in Hong Kong and other Asia-Pacific markets, to establish a cross-border service loop of "overseas assessment, domestic treatment, and overseas follow-up." The cooperation agreement will also facilitate suitable patients to access follow-up rehabilitation or other oncology services in Hong Kong as well as other markets covered by Ankang and the Tianma Medical network, thereby further expanding the group from the Chinese market to the Asian market.
