On September 2, Tencent (00700) officially launched the WorkBuddy open platform, fully opening up the capability ecosystem of WorkBuddy to collaboratively build a continuously evolving new paradigm for AI office work with countless users. The first phase has opened five major ecological capabilities: Buddy applications, experts, skills, connectors, and hardware, with more capabilities being continuously integrated. According to the official website, the open platform serves as a one-stop workstation for WorkBuddy's ecological business. After developers register and pass the relevant qualification review, they can develop and manage businesses such as skills, experts, expert groups, connectors, and external application integration on this platform. Through the open platform, developers can quickly transform industry know-how, business systems, and service capabilities into standardized products within the WorkBuddy ecosystem, while reducing development and operational costs and obtaining a unified distribution channel and user accessibility. The open platform will also continuously improve development tools, open interfaces, and ecological services, providing developers with a more efficient, stable, and secure development experience. According to media reports, at the launch event, nine co-branded smart hardware products were unveiled for the first time, with partners including Plaud, Rokid, Yingstone, Iflytek Co., Ltd., Anker, Mengma, and JDs Jingzhao; over 30 industry applications were simultaneously integrated, covering more than 20 fields including finance, law, healthcare, education, and public welfare.
