On the news front, BOC HONG KONG released its mid-year results for 2026, reporting net operating income of HKD 37.431 billion, an increase of 1.66% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to shareholders was HKD 23.739 billion, up 7.13% year-on-year. The board has approved a three-year shareholder return plan for 2026-2028, intending to increase shareholder returns by no less than HKD 10.5 billion over the three years. For the fiscal year 2026, a special dividend of HKD 0.2388 per share is planned, in addition to an interim dividend of HKD 0.58 per share, resulting in a total dividend distribution of HKD 0.8188 per share for the first half of the year, totaling HKD 8.657 billion in dividends.
