KB LAMINATES (01888) announced its results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a turnover of HK$14.904 billion, an increase of 55% year-on-year; the attributable net profit for shareholders was HK$2.887 billion, a year-on-year increase of 209%; basic earnings per share stood at HK$0.92; and a proposed interim dividend of HK$0.28 per share. Copper-clad laminate division: During the review period, there was rapid development in high-end fields such as AI, leading to strong demand for related new materials. The copper-clad laminate and its upstream industries are in a high prosperity cycle. The group has precisely captured the explosive growth of AI, and the newly constructed four production kilns for specialty electronic glass fiber yarns have been put into operation one after another, bringing the total to five, continuously increasing the group's market share in the AI new materials field, including applications for high-frequency, high-speed, and high-end packaging substrates. The existing production capacity has been significantly shifted to the production of AI-related products, resulting in a severe shortage of traditional electronic glass fiber yarns and electronic glass fiber fabrics. In the first half of 2026, the profit from the groups electronic glass fiber yarn and electronic glass fiber fabric business was approximately HK$1 billion, representing an increase of about 280% compared to the same period in 2025.
