China Telecommunications (08337) announced that it expects the group to incur a loss attributable to equity shareholders of approximately HKD 6.9 million for the six months ending June 30, 2026, compared to a loss of approximately HKD 4.2 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025. The increase in expected loss is mainly due to the recognition of impairment losses on trade receivables of approximately HKD 1.7 million during the period; and due to the reconfiguration of the group's information technology systems, maintenance and repair costs have increased by approximately 1.3 times to about HKD 1.1 million compared to the previous period.
