CHINA POWER (02380): A subsidiary has signed a general contracting agreement with Shandong Institute for the construction of the desulfurization system for the Baicheng project.

CHINA POWER (02380) announced that on August 21, 2026, Yuanda Engineering (a non-wholly-owned subsidiary indirectly owned by the company) entered into a general contracting agreement with Shandong Institute. Under this contract, Yuanda Engineering will provide survey design, equipment procurement, construction installation, and other technical support services for the desulfurization system of the Baicheng project, at a cost of RMB 126 million (approximately HKD 146 million). As national environmental protection standards for coal-fired power plants become increasingly stringent, the contractor, leveraging its professional technology in providing desulfurization engineering contracting services, assists clients in meeting mandatory regulatory requirements. The company believes that the general contracting agreement will strengthen the contractors position in the environmental protection field and aligns with the groups strategic goal of transitioning to a green, low-carbon energy provider.
