Tesla has launched the Doubao large model, and Tesla vehicles are now gradually receiving updates.

On August 19, Tesla announced the launch of the Doubao large model through Volcano Engine. According to the introduction, Tesla's vehicle systems are now gradually being updated. On July 31, Tesla China began rolling out version 2026.14.13 of its vehicle software in batches, covering Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. This software update primarily introduces the Doubao large model. It is reported that the Doubao large model can not only provide real-time information but also engage in natural and smooth conversations. This feature requires activation of the premium in-car entertainment service for use. Tesla's collaboration with Volcano Engine began in August 2025. In April of this year, Tesla's in-car voice assistant equipped with a generative AI model completed the necessary in Shanghai, paving the way for its official launch. In overseas markets, Tesla has deployed Grok, developed by Musk's xAI, in some vehicle models; while in the Chinese market, Tesla has chosen to integrate domestic large models such as Doubao.
