Orion180 Insurance Group, an American insurance company, has submitted its initial public offering (IPO) application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to list on the U.S. stock market to further expand its share in the rapidly growing specialty homeowners and flood insurance market. The filing shows that the company plans to go public on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "OIG," aiming to raise up to $100 million through the IPO. The company has not yet disclosed the pricing terms for the offering.
It is reported that Orion180 focuses on providing innovative home property and flood insurance solutions for homeowners and landlords. Its products include standard homeowners insurance, rental property insurance, and customized private flood insurance, with a significant presence particularly in California and high-risk areas in the Southeast. As of June 30, 2026, these products are sold through a network of over 14,000 active independent agents.
Orion180 states that it is the second-largest excess and surplus lines (E&S) homeowners insurance provider in the United States based on direct written premiums, with operations in 14 states. In the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, the company managed approximately $601 million in underwriting premiums and has sold over 670,000 policies since its establishment in 2015. By 2025, 51% of the managed underwriting premiums came from traditional non-admitted products, primarily covering coastal areas and properties with higher geographical risk that are prone to disasters.
Data shows that Orion180 achieved a net profit of $13.5 million in the first six months of 2026, with revenue of $80.1 million; in comparison, it reported a net loss of $3 million and revenue of $50.4 million during the same period last year.
